An important announcement today! The stock of 1/72 scale Yak-1b kits is running out and we will not be able to relaunch production for quite some time: all our efforts are now focused on preparing new kits. Yes, unfortunately the Yaks will no longer be available for a considerable time. Only the last boxes are already available in our shop. The good news, however, is that for one week we are doing a Farewell Promotion on them with cool extras in 3D printing and a 40% discount on the second kit (choose Arma Hobby 1/72 scale kit available in the shop)!
The 1/72 scale Yak-1b is one of Arma Hobby's most loved kits, thanks to its smart design it is very simple and enjoyable to build, yet extremely accurate and superbly detailed. It is no coincidence that it was awarded the ‘Model of the Year 2020’ medal at the Nuremberg Fair.
Thanks to the fact that the kit is of really top quality and at the same time assembles quickly and easily (‘like lego blocks’), the Internet is full of photos and videos of beautiful models made with this kit.
Modellers from all over the world are winning medals with our Yaks at the most prestigious competitions, such as Steve Baker at the IPMS USA Nationals 2024 and Marine Luca at Moson (Hungary) 2022!
Lately, our friendly bloggers have even launched a successful #niebylejaki action - building Yaks together and showing the results on Twitter, Facebook, forums... The most interesting material that came out of this action are two films made by Robert and Sebastian, documenting the joint build of Yaks by two model-bloggers.
We, too, will miss the Yaks. To cushion the situation, we have prepared a Farewell Promotion for the last remaining Yak kits with cool extras: resin 3D details and assembly and travel jigs from filament printing.
Both of these add-ons are a very attractive proposition. For a small price, you can add something to your model that is not normally available on the market, and changes a lot.
The 3D-printed resin details are mainly the exhaust tubes and pilot seatbelts (and more!), something that cannot be injected from plastic in this quality. Although Yak has very good mouldings, these prints add a lot of appeal to the model.
And the jig? This is a complete novelty, well worth trying out. It makes building the model easier by helping to keep the correct geometry of the various components, especially the undercarriage, protects fragile parts during construction and painting, and finally allows you to safely transport the finished model to a club meeting or model show! Until now, such jigs were only available for Airacobras and Ki-43s, now, for the first time, you have the chance to get a dedicated jig for the Yak!
That's not all! In this promotion you can add another 1/72 scale Arma Hobby kit with a 40% discount to every Yak you buy (regardless of printed extras)!
It is worth taking advantage of this opportunity, the promotion lasts until Sunday 9 March or until the - already small - stock of Yaks is gone!
