Today started sale of PZL P.8/I 1/48 scale resin kit. Model of natural born fighter designed for speed. Fitted with 600 hp engine the first prototype of the P.8 Puławski’s fighter, was built in 1930/31 winter for research purposes, without the Air Forces contract. “The Eight” had finely designed streamlined shape with smooth wing and tail covering and spatted wheels. First flown in August 1931 by Bolesław Orliński, the plane reached impressive speed 350 km/h at the ground level. Unfortunately, due to relatively heavy truss structure of the fuselage and lack of the compressor, on higher altitudes P.8 was no match for the P.7 chosen for serial production.
Resin model kit of the PZL P.8 in 1/48 scale was designed for as easy as possible build. It may be assembled and painted over weekend. It would be superdetailed by avid modeler without problem. Built replica of natural metal bird with big red-white insignia will draw attention on your showcase shelf or club meeting.
