Upgrades for Polish MiG-29 scale 1/48 and 1/72 are news from Attack Squadron for early September. Also available are three new color sets from Hataka Hobby.
Polish colorful MiG-29, especially from Mińsk Mazowiecki Air Base are very popular modelling subject. They display colorful insignia of 303rd Polish Squadron RAF, the most successful Allied unit i Battle of Britain. It is the same insignia of the Kosciuszko Squadron of US volunters organized by Marion Cooper for Polish Bolshevik War 1919-21. On vertical stabilizers are painted profiles of Pilots from both units. Decals with Polish MiG insignias are available from several manufacturers including Model Maker Decals.
Problems faced by modelers building Polish MiG-29 is a number of small modifications of airplanes. New Attack Squadron sets 1/48 and 1/72 scale solves problem easily.
