Polish Abrams Model in 1/35 Scale

The model by Rye Field Models (RFM) represents the tank in the FEP (Firepower Enhancement Package) version in 1/35 scale.

Colours and Markings

Polish Abrams tanks are painted in standard NATO camouflage, colors FS34094, FS30051, FS37030.

Abrams FEP for the Polish Army

In April 2022, the Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak, signed a contract for the acquisition of 250 new M1A2 Abrams SEPv3 tanks. The first Abrams tanks in the older SEPv2 version, which were borrowed and intended for training purposes, arrived in Poland on July 18, 2022. Deliveries of tanks in the final configuration are scheduled to begin in 2025 and conclude in 2026.

In January 2023, the Ministry of National Defense approved a contract for the delivery of 116 M1A1 FEP Abrams tanks, which are to be delivered to Poland between 2023 and 2024. The contract pertains to the delivery of tanks in the FEP version, which means modernized Abrams tanks with the "Firepower Enhancement Package" used also by the United States Marine Corps. According to the delivery schedule, 58 units will be handed over to the first battalion in 2023. All vehicles will undergo comprehensive overhauls, with their condition expected to be as good as new. Poland decided to purchase M1A1 FEP Abrams tanks due to the urgent need to replace the combat vehicles of the T-72 family transferred to Ukraine.

The Polish Army is planned to possess 366 Abrams tanks - 116 used units of M1A1 FEP and 250 new ones of M1A2 SEPv3.
