US military aviation insignia used in1943, decals 1/72
In 1943, the US Army and Naval aviation introduced new national insignia with white stripes and then added red outline. They were used in four positions: on the both sides of the fuselage and at the top of the left wing and the bottom of the right wing. Within a few months red border was replaced with Insignia Blue.
